Anticoagulation Clinic

Coagulation, or blood clotting, is caused by various conditions, the effects of which can cause life-threatening health issues including a heart attack or stroke. To prevent serious medical conditions from occurring due to blood clots, your physician might prescribe medication and refer you to an anticoagulation clinic

The primary responsibilities of an anticoagulation clinic are to monitor patients prescribed anticoagulation medications and administer additional dosage or medication as needed.

In most cases, the individuals visiting the clinic will have been prescribed Warfarin, a prescription drug designed to limit the odds of blood clots forming, by their physician and referred to meet with our specialists.
