Christian Shull, MD
Dr. Christian Shull was born and raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Upon graduating from Skyline High School, he attended Ricks College as a Presidential Scholar. Dr. Shull earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He then continued his studies at the University of California, Irvine, College of Medicine, again as a Presidential Scholar, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine.
Dr. Christian Shull continued his training as an intern, resident, and medical oncology fellow at The Ohio State University, a US News and World Report Top 20 Cancer hospital. Following the completion of his studies, Dr. Shull returned to his roots to open a private practice in Idaho Falls, Snake River Oncology of Eastern Idaho.
Dr. Shull’s current appointments include Medical Staff at Mountain View Hospital, Idaho Falls Community Hospital, and Bingham Memorial Hospital; Medical Director–Infusion Services at Mountain View Hospital; Medical Director for OneSource Hospice Idaho Falls; President of the Board for the Snake River Cancer Alliance; and President of the Southeastern Idaho Oncology Ski and Gun Club. He is also a member of the Idaho Medical Association; Idaho Society of Clinical Oncology; Idaho Falls Medical Society; Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce; American Society of Clinical Oncology; and the American College of Physicians. He is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Tau Beta Pi honor societies. From 1998 to 2009, he served as a Major in the United States Army Reserve Medical Corps, completing two deployments.
Dr. Shull’s career path shifted from engineering to oncology when he learned that he and many other members of his family have a genetic predisposition to cancer. As such, he devotes much of his time to genetic counseling, with a focus on prevention, early intervention and cutting-edge cancer care. Dr. Shull believes in communicating with his patients so they feel at ease while educating them to become experts on their own disease.
Dr. Shull is married with three children and enjoys classical music, jazz, cooking, and downhill skiing.
