Malissa Stanley, FNP-C

Malissa gradudated from Idaho State University with a Master's in Nursing Science. Her career in the medical field stems from her family's passion for healthcare. After marrying her high school sweetheart, and seeing many members of his family go on to be nurses, Malissa decided the stability and challenge of the healthcare industry was for her.

"Being able to make a positive impact in patients' lives through preventative health is something that's very exciting for me," she says. "I enjoy teaching disease prevention and health promotion activities that keep people out of the hospital and in their homes instead. Keeping people in optimal health is the ultimate goal."

Malissa's approach to healthcare is putting the patient first." I like to treat my patients like they're a member of my family," she says. "I try to look at their whole life situation; what's going on at home and with their family. It's important to find out how they're doing as a whole because that is going to affect their treatment."

Malissa is from Judith Gap, Montana. Malissa has worked in various clinical settings as a nurse practitioner, before coming to Teton Cancer. In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, camping and hiking as well as spending time with her husband and 12-year-old daughter.
